Slippery stowaway takes starring role in ‘Snakes on a Plane: the sequel’

Samuel L. Jackson was not around to save the day but for passengers on a Mexican domestic flight, ‘Snakes on a Plane’ became all too real.
Passengers on Aeromexico Flight 231 from Torreon to Mexico City were caught up in a real-life midair panic as a five-feet long snake was spotted in the cabin.
Video captured the snake slithering out from an overhead storage bin which was later identified as a venomous green viper.
Indalecio Medina, who took the video, told ABC News he ‘controlled the snake with a blanket.’
"Due to the presence of the animal and following security protocols, the flight was given priority to land," an Aeromexico statement said.
The airline is investigating how it got onto the flight.
"The procedures carried out for this flight are currently being evaluated to determine how the animal entered the cabin and measures have been taken to avoid such incidents in the future."
