Slovenia chosen for green destinations day 2016
New destination standard unveiled, event at ITB announced
A new Green Destinations Standard, has recently been submitted for GSTC recognition in collaboration with Green Destinations Partners ECEAT and EUCC- QualityCoast.
The Green Destinations Standard provides an assessment system, and a link to the Green Destinations Database, but it is not a certification.
The standard will be the basis for certification programmes, agreed by QualityCoast, Quality Destination, and Slovenia Green, and a common denominator for international monitoring and benchmarking of destinations. Other certification programmes will be able to connect.
As from January 2016, the platform will host the certification procedure of QualityCoast, QualityDestination and Slovenia Green
The next ITB Berlin (9-11 March, 2016) will stage a one-hour presentation of TravelMole Vision for Sustainable Tourism and Green Destinations, highlighting a selection of new developments:
- Green Destinations based certification programmes;
- Green Destinations public reporting system;
- results of the first Country Sustainable Tourism Ratings;
