Dallas based Southwest Airlines is beefing up its route network in the West with two new flights to California from Salt Lake City.
New services beginning March 9, 2017 will connect Utah with Burbank and Sacramento.
Southwest will fly nonstop twice daily to Burbank and once to Sacramento.
"As the carrier that flies more travelers to, from, and within California than anyone else, Southwest continues its work to connect Californians to destinations that matter for work and leisure," said Leah Koontz, Southwest Airlines’ VP and controller.
Rival Delta Air Lines also serve these two routes and has a large connecting hub at Salt Lake City.
To celebrate the new routes, Southwest is offering a limited time promotion of $59 one-way, available to book through October 20.
