Travel agency A D Travel has had its license to operate revoked by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
The agency was suspended in the summer as it failed to meet the minimum financial requirements for all register travel businesses, the STB said.
"During the period of suspension, A D Travel did not honour its repayment commitments and could not be contacted. It was also unable to provide evidence to show that it has met STB’s minimum financial requirements," said the STB in a statement.
Announcing the revoking of its license, a STB statement said there were also complaints from customers about its failure to settle agreed refunds.
"STB adopts a serious view against errant travel agents and will not hesitate to take necessary actions to protect consumers’ interests and safeguard the reputation of Singapore’s tourism sector," it added in the statement.
