Building a web presence, learning from an agency swap and getting an ATOL licence will be the hot topics at the Sharing Best Practice session at the Advantage Conference this September.
The conference, at the Radisson Edwardian at London Heathrow, will see Steve Allerston from Holiday Travel in Bridlington address the room on his experiences of getting an ATOL licence including the operational changes required to his business and whether it was all worth it.
Meanwhile Karen Allen of Aspen Travel will relate how she went about building a substantial web presence and will assess how much time and effort it took.
Darren Phillips of Darren Phillips Travel and Jacqui Steadman of Traveltime World exchanged businesses for the day to understand the similarities and differences of running independent travel agencies and will be sharing their findings with delegates.
Sales and marketing director at Advantage Travel Centres Colin Neill said: “The sharing best practice session at last year’s conference was really popular, scoring an 87% excellent or good rating from delegates. One of the benefits of being part of Advantage is the contact with fellow members and this is a good example of how we can help them learn from each other. We also plan a similar session for business travel members attending the conference.”Â
