What was your first job in travel?
Area manager for Intasun Holidays in Spain
What was the high point of your career?
Still striving to get there and years to go yet now that the mandatory retirement age of 65 has been lifted! Seriously, being awarded the Spanish Order of Civil Merit in 2009 by the Spanish Ambassador on behalf of King Juan Carlos with all my family and friends present was a huge honour and definitely not something I'd anticipated when I took my first job on the Costa Brava.
What was the low point?
The failure of International Leisure Group (ILG) in the early 90's. I had recently moved on but so many of my colleagues and good friends lost their jobs and it was a really sad time for the travel industry.
What's your biggest regret?
As l believe Robbie Williams once said "no regrets"…. I'm so lucky to be able to say I really don't have any, try as I may to think of one!
What would you be doing now if you weren't in travel?
Another difficult one to answer. Can't imagine doing anything apart from working in travel. The Diplomatic Corps perhaps (for those who know me!), Whatever it might have been, I'm sure I'd not be half as busy as I currently am!
