Bald Eagle Festival

The Bald Eagle Festival is held at the Pere Marquette State Park on the 29th January. The festival will feature live music and entertainment by the World Bird Sanctuary as they showcase the Bald Eagle. Galena Country Fair and Art Festival

Galena Country Fair is held annually and in 2017 shall be on 7th and 8th October in Galena at Grant Park. The event boasts more than 150 vendors, a country bake shop, festival food booths, family activities and live entertainment. galenacountryfair.com

 

80th Annual Nauvoo Grape Festival & 41st Annual Festival on Wheels

Head to the banks of the mighty Mississippi in Nauvoo, Illinois 1-3 September to celebrate Illinois wine and experience one of the largest classic car shows in the region. Enjoy local food, craft vendors, live music and family entertainment. Taste wine from Illinois’ oldest winery. The Festival on Wheels runs 2-3 September allowing visitors get up close to beautifully restored American classic cars. This annual Fall Corn Festival will be held on 1st October in Godfrey, Illinois. The Festival includes the best local  music, petting zoo, pony rides, games, arts & crafts, a Corn Eating Contest and the Great Godfrey Corn Maze, don’t worry the locals will help you out if you get lost.

 

Fulton Dutch Days

Celebrate at Illinois’ largest Dutch festival 5-6 May in Fulton, Illinois. Dutch pastries, Dutch dancing and costumes, storytelling, 100s of vendors, live music, a parade and more await your visit! Explore an authentic Dutch windmill, the de Immigrant, perched on the banks of the Mississippi River. The adjacent Windmill Cultural Centre offers a glimpse into the areas rich history as well as an extensive collection of miniature windmills.
