Theme Park Holidays adopts new name
Theme Park Holidays is changing of name to The Holiday People as part of planned expansion.
The online travel company created by former senior Disney executive Tom Allen runs three brands: Theme Park Holidays – accommodation and packages to Disneyland Paris; Florida Solutions – accommodation and packages to Florida and Theme Park Tickets – theme park tickets and excursions.
The website has been redesigned to enable the easy integration of new brands due to be announced during 2005-06, according to the company.
The change of name also reflects that many of the new brands will not be theme park related. All products can be priced and booked online.
Managing director Allen said: “With TUI recently announcing that 50% of their sales will be on-line within four years, it is evident that e-commerce and online marketing are the marketplaces of the future.
“Online marketing is about relevancy of site to search terms, ease of use and navigation, and dynamic pricing.
“The development of a series of niche product offerings is one of the keys to success in this area and our change of name reflects the need to ease our expansion into other products.”
