Third bomb scare for Olympic

Olympic Airlines has been hit by the third bomb scare in less than a week, causing it to abort a flight from Athens to London.

 

According to the BBC News website, Flight OA256 was diverted to Corfu after Olympic received an anonymous phone call, After a police search the flight, with 220 passengers and crew on board, was allowed to continue to London.

 

In a separate development, a Singapore Airlines flight to New York was forced to land at the UK’s Manchester airport after a similar scare.

 

The incident happened after a phone call to German authorities. The plane was searched for several hours before continuing its journey.
