Thomas Cook to open another hotel on Kos
Thomas Cook is to open an adult-only Sunprime hotel on the Greek island of Kos.
Sunprime Pearl Beach will open this June in Kos’ Marmari area, a short walk along the beach from Thomas Cook’s lifestyle hotel, Casa Cook.
The 96 rooms – many of which have private pools or shared swim-up pools – will offer an elegant design in a cool, sophisticated environment.
Offering all-inclusive as well as other board options, Sunprime Pearl Beach has been designed by the architect Vana Pernari who was responsible for Casa Cook Rhodes, which also caters to the adult-only audience.
The new Sunprime will include a state-of-the-art gym as well as an extensive fitness programme. Its spa will offer a range of beauty treatments and indulgent therapies to help guests relax and unwind.
Its sandy Blue Flag beach will have private sun loungers complete with hotel service for guests who want to step away from their own pool for the day.
The beach has a range of activities including windsurfing and has traditional Greek tavernas just a stone’s throw away.
Thomas Cook says the opening of the Sunprime Pearl Beach and last year’s Casa Cook marks a shift in the appeal of Kos towards affluent travellers.
The island is becoming increasingly popular with couples and groups of friends looking for a premium experience, with adult-only trips making up over half of all Thomas Cook’s bookings on the island in 2017, with 2018 set to be no different.
Sunprime Hotels represent one of Thomas Cook’s seven own hotel brands.
The collection of 17, four-star hotels across the Mediterranean and beyond, offer holidays designed for adults – with extensive gym and fitness classes alongside great quality, healthy food for a sophisticated, international audience.
The hotels have a simple, elegant design providing a calm and relaxed environment.
Seven nights, all-inclusive, at the Sunprime Pearl start from £749 per person, in October.
