Thomas Cook’s new livery takes to the skies
Thomas Cook Airlines has taken delivery of its first UK aircraft to display the new ‘sunny heart’ livery.
The Airbus is the second of the 23 new A321s ordered by the Thomas Cook Group and one of six which will be deployed in the UK by next summer.
The first A321 sporting the new yellow heart will enter service in the next few days operating holiday flights to a range of European destinations.
Christoph Debus, chairman of Thomas Cook Group airlines and CEO of Thomas Cook Airlines UK said: "Today marks the beginning of an exciting phase for our UK airline, bringing a new experience for our customers as we welcome this new aircraft to our fleet.
"By next summer, six such aircraft will be taking our holidaymakers to destinations across Europe and North Africa. It’s very symbolic that we will see the first of our new Airbus A321 aircraft in the UK take on our new ‘Sunny Heart’ livery, an icon for the new Thomas Cook and the new Thomas Cook Airlines."
At the same time, Thomas Cook has opened its fifth ‘concept store’ and the first to sport its new ‘sunny heart’ branding. The store, in the Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, features video content streamed throughout the store, in-store tablets, a VIP lounge for wedding and honeymoon bookings and a separate area for groups.
