Titan Travel launches the first ‘Essential Guide’ for Japan

Touring operator Titan Travel has rolled out its first in a series of interactive guides, to Japan.

It launched the first ‘Essential Guide’ interactive booklet, with Japan the featured destination.

The guide is available to read and download online and has been designed to inspire travellers thinking about travel to Japan or already have a holiday booked.

The 14-page Essential Guide to Japan offers useful information divided in to 10 ‘must do’ experiences curated by Titan.

These include from where to experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony or attend a sumo wrestling match.

Other recommended experiences –each brought to life with video – include soaking in an onsen hot bath and trying one of Japan’s many unique matsuri (festivals.

They each have maps to show where the best can be found.

Demand for Titan’s range of escorted tours in Japan is increasing, with passenger numbers on its 14-day Essence of Japan and 21-day Grand Tour of Japan tours seeing an increase of nearly 50% this yea.

Titan Travel’s tours of Japan are:

13-day ‘Japanese Winter Wonderland’ tour, from £4,246 per person – saving 15% (up to £749pp). Focusing on two of the three islands in the Japanese archipelago – Kyushu and Hokkaido – this tour gives guests a chance to see some of the country’s lesser-visited alpine areas. After leaving Tokyo and Kyoto behind, guests will take to the mountains in the north to see snow monkeys bathing in their own hot springs in Yudanaka and the spectacular snowy scenery of Hokkaido.

A 14-day ‘Essence of Japan’ tour, from £5,795 per person. Designed to give a taste of everything that makes Japan such a fascinating country, this tour takes in historic Kyoto, cosmopolitan Tokyo, and picturesque Osaka – as well as whizzing guests past the iconic Mt Fuji in the Bullet Train.

A 21-day ‘Grand Tour of Japan’ tour, from £7,295 per person. This epic trip takes in temples and vibrant cities, high-speed trains and volcanic hot springs. Guests arrive in Tokyo, and travel south to Kukuoka, taking in Mt Fuji, Kyoto, Hiroshima and more

A 20-day ‘Essence of Japan with South Korea’ tour, from £7,095 per person. This tour combines the best of Japan with the palaces, shrines, galleries and museums of Seoul and Busan. Guests even get to tour the DMZ separating South Korea from the North – as well as enjoy a South Korean cooking masterclass and a traditional barbecue.
