Top hoteliers unveil award
Considerate Hotel of the Year Awards 2014 launched
Celebrating the Very Best in Environmental, Sustainable and Socially Responsible Performance, the Considerate Hoteliers (CH) has announced the launch of the ‘Considerate Hotel of the Year Awards 2014’ – once again supported by Veolia Environmental Services, Gilchrist & Soames Ltd, Gram UK and for the first time this year Aslotel.
Open to all its UK members as well as a growing international hotel membership the awards this year includes a new category: ‘The Considerate Housekeeping Team of the Year’. The closing date for entries will be midnight on Friday, 18th April 2014 and the Award Ceremony will take place on 13th of June 2014 at the prestigious Langham Hotel, London, a founder CH member.
The categories are as follows:
- International Considerate Hotel of the Year (sponsored by Gilchrist & Soames)
- UK Considerate Hotel of the Year
- Considerate Marketing Initiative of the Year
- Considerate Champion of the Year (sponsored by Gram)
- Considerate Green Team of the Year (sponsored by Veolia)
- Considerate UK Supplier of the Year
- Considerate International Supplier of the Year
- Considerate UK Local Food Supplier of the Year
- Small Considerate Hotel of the Year
- Considerate Housekeeping Team of the Year (sponsored by Aslotel)
- Considerate Food Award of the Year (Urban & Country)
- Considerate Good Egg Award (within the gift of Considerate Hoteliers – no entry required)
Commenting on this year’s launch, John Firrell MIH, Executive Director of Considerate Hoteliers said: "We have enthusiastically embraced the new category of Considerate Housekeeping Team of the Year for 2014 in order to honour this group of people who are instrumental at many hotels in making crucial impacts and impressions and are therefore key to a hotel’s cost objectives and energy saving mission.
