Tourist killed in Turkey hot air balloon crash

A hot air balloon crash in Turkey has killed a Chinese tourist and injured nine other people, one of them reported to be in a critical condition.

The balloon carrying Chinese and Malaysian tourists came down in the Guvercinlik Valley in Cappadocia yesterday (Wednesday) morning.

The incident happened in the same area where a balloon crash in 2009 killing a British tourist and injuring nine other people.

In 2013, three Brazilian tourists were killed and 20 people injured when two balloons collided in the same Cappadocia region.

The cause of this latest incident is as yet unknown.
