SINGAPORE – The 2010 TravelMole Web Innovations Awards are over for another year with general agreement among the judges that the travel industry is doing a good job of promoting itself on the Web.
Chairman of the judging panel Ric Shreves, founder and partner of Water & Stone, said the quality of this year’s winning entries was quite exceptional.
"Gap Adventures web design efforts showed a great balance between nice design, rich content and community engagement. A stand out globally, not merely in Asia."
Gap Adventures took out the Best Website Design category which recognises excellence and usability across websites in the travel industry.
"Air New Zealand (which won four awards) put in a very strong showing this year, with social media efforts like the AirpointsFairy and their video work really leading the way forward for the industry," said Shreves.

"Clean Cruising was a clear winner in its nominated categories for its exemplary use of new technology to make interactive user experience an integral part of the overall e-marketing process."
