TUI UK and Ireland has signed a contract with travel industry risk management specialists Argent Health & Safety.
The company will advise TUI UK in both a consultancy and audit capacity for its mainstream brands, including Thomson and First Choice Holidays.
It will carry out health and safety audits of TUI UK’s contracted hotel and excursion partners and will also review the tour operator’s safety management systems and business practices.
Argent director Claire Mulligan said: “Good reputation is vital to all travel operators and is easily undermined by any, inevitably high-profile, incidents affecting their holidaymaker customers.”
Argent already provides similar services to Expedia, GTA (Gulliver’s Travels), Disney Europe and Jet2holidays.
