Tunisia has extended its state of emergency for a further four months.
The UK Foreign Office (FCO) updated its travel advice to include the extension, which will run until mid October.
The state of emergency was first announced in November 2015 following a suicide attack on a police bus, but the FCO was already advising against all but essential travel to Tunisia after a terror attack in a beach resort in Sousse, in which 30 British holidaymakers were killed, two years ago this month.
It is unlikely the FCO will lift its warning against all but essential travel to Tunisia while the state of emergency remains in place.
A statement on the FCO website says: "Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Tunisia. Security forces remain on a high state of alert in Tunis and other places.
"You should be vigilant at all times, including around religious sites and festivals. Follow the advice of the Tunisian security authorities and your travel company, if you have one."
