TV presenter to deliver Business Travel Show keynote address
CNN anchor and television presenter Richard Quest will present a keynote address at the Business Travel Show, taking place at London’s Earls Court next month.
His address – ‘Richard Quest – Tales of a Road Warrior’ – will see him talk about business travel from the traveller’s perspective, including personal anecdotes collected during his two decades of globetrotting.
In his busiest year, Quest travelled more than 350,000 miles and was on the road for 300 days. During his address at 12:30 on February 7, Quest will also forecast economic projections for 2012 and reveal how they will likely impact the travel industry.
Quest claims to have always had an unhealthy interest in aviation specifically and business travel generally, which he has reported on for the last 20 years, including seven years presenting CNN Business Traveller.
"The sheer joy of an industry that spans the globe with so many tentacles in the economy is just breathtaking. I cover it because I love it," he said.
"My keynote is called Tales of a True Road Warrior because a true road warrior loves being on the road – the good, the bad and the downright difficult. Sometimes it is war getting from A to Z which is only made better by the moments of peace flying across the globe, meeting fellow travellers, sharing war stories and experiences and then….doing it all over again, of course."
Event director David Chapple said: "We’re delighted that Richard Quest will be presenting a keynote at the Business Travel Show – he’s a fantastic presenter with chapters and chapters of fascinating stories about his travels around the world. As an expert in both business and travel, he will be able to provide intelligence to buyers that will help keep them up to date with industry trends and improve their competitive edge."
