United Airlines has just celebrated a quarter-century of Brussels flights from New York/Newark.
It marked the 25th anniversary of its nonstop route between Brussels and New York/Newark.
Since its launch in May 1999, the airline has carried almost 3.5 million customers.
United now operates year-round nonstop Brussels flights to New York/Newark, with double daily service during the summer season.
United also flies daily from Brussels to Chicago O’Hare and Washington D.C.
The new second daily service between Brussels and New York/Newark offers the only afternoon departure from Brussels to the US.
This summer United will offer a total of four daily nonstop services from Belgium to the United States.
“This route continues to facilitate business and tourism, benefitting the economy on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Alexander Vanryckeghem, United’s Country Sales Manager, Belgium.”
United’s year-round service from Brussels to New York/Newark is operated on B787-10 Dreamliner aircraft, with a total of 318 seats including 44 flat-bed seats in United Polaris.
The additional summer seasonal nonstop service is operated with Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
