United Airlines will end flights to Venezuela next month.
The route is just not performing well enough, United says.
"Because our Houston-Caracas service is not meeting our financial expectations we have decided to suspend it, effective July 1," spokesman Charles Hobart said.
The country has been beset by violent political protests in recent months, which have kept leisure and business travellers away.
US carriers, most notably American Airlines, have been scaling back or pulling out of the market as the Venezuelan government halted the currency outflows to continue to prop up the faltering economy.
Last year US airlines said they are still owed more than $3 billion for ticket revenues paid for in Venezuelan bolivars which the government is holding on to.
Numerous other airlines have pulled flights, including Latam, Aeromexico, TAP Portugal, Air Canada and Lufthansa.
