United Airlines is launching a new cross-country seasonal service to San Francisco from Bradley International, Connecticut.
The summer service begins June 8 through September 5.
"United is proud to offer our Connecticut customers a convenient and comfortable travel experience between Hartford and our premier Pacific gateway hub in San Francisco," said Aileen Moriarty, United’s manager of Connecticut Sales.
It is more good news for Bradley after recently securing upcoming low cost transatlantic service from Europe via Norwegian Air’s new services.
"It is undeniable that we are witnessing a period of significant growth at Bradley International Airport with the addition of yet another nonstop route to another major hub," CT Governor Dannel P. Malloy said.
What I hope everyone understands with these ongoing developments is that adding more airlines and more routes opens the door for increased economic opportunities for business travelers who see Hartford as a destination where their companies can do business with even more convenience."
For United Airlines it is a significant move too as it forms part of a network wide expansion covering 31 destinations across the US and Europe.
"Starting this summer we’re offering more flights, to more destinations at more convenient times than in recent memory and with bigger and more modern aircraft for many of our flights, we’ll be getting you to the moments that matter most – relaxed and ready to go," said Scott Kirby, United president.
