Universal Orlando has set May 25 2017 for the grand opening of its keenly awaited new water park Volcano Bay.
Universal is planning a number of special events from May 22, culminating in the grand opening of the Pacific Island-themed water park.
The centrepiece is the 200-feet high volcano and the Krakatau Aqua Coaster which is surrounded by four themed areas – the Volcano, Wave Village, River Village and Rainforest Village.
Universal has already announced ‘TapuTapu’ wristband tech will be used which gives individual alerts to guests when it is time to ride.
Universal’s Wet ‘n’ Wild water park – the first of its kind in the country when it opened – finally closed on December 31, 2016.
