UPDATED: Ferry sinks with 350 on board
Rescue teams have pulled more than 200 people from the sea off Papua New Guinea after a ferry sank with up to 350 on board.
Eight rescue ships and three helicopters continue to search for more survivors and hope to find as many as possible before sunset.
Australia PM Julia Gillard said the incident was a "major tragedy".
A spokesman for Star Ships, which operates the ferry, blamed bad weather.
It said it lost contact with the MV Rabaul Queen while travelling between Kimbe and Lae in the east of the Pacific nation.
