Upgraded Club Med to appeal to infants and toddlers
Club Med Ixtapa Pacific is undergoing a $20 million transformation that will make it the only Club Med in Mexico to offer programs for infants and toddlers.
“The investment heralds the complete upgrade of the resort’s shared spaces in addition to renovated, enlarged rooms and the creation of suites,” said a press release.
Nestled on Mexico’s Pacific coast, Ixtapa Pacific was the first resort built in the area in 1982. It includes 30 acres of pristine beachfront property. The resort will open later this year as a vacation spot for young families.
The concept of fusing bold Mexican colors with Spanish elegance and modern convenience served as the starting point for developing the new Ixtapa Pacific, according to Club Med
Next year, an additional 204 rooms in the resort will open to the public.
Club Med Ixtapa Pacific will offer a total of 298 rooms, including 75 family suites, all equipped with flat screen TVs, internet access and other amenities.
The resort will offer activities to entertain children from four months to 17 years old.
