The idle Saint Laurent coastal cruiser, which had been sailing for Haimark before its bankruptcy, will soon get a new lease of life.
The shipwill be renamed Victory I and sail for Victory Cruise Lines on itineraries from Montreal to ports in Canada and the Great Lakes.
The first sailing is scheduled for July 8.
Later this year the recently refurbished vessel will head south to start Florida-Cuba sailings, a company statement said.
"We intend to make our product the standard of excellence for small-ship cruising to the Great Lakes and Cuba, while providing great value for our guests," said Bruce Nierenberg, CEO of Victory Cruise Lines.
"The senior management of Victory Cruise Lines has over 100 years of experience operating some of the most successful and loved cruise products."
The ship will begin with an initial week-long cruise to Cuba from Port Canaveral and then offer regular sailings from Miami.
The renamed Victory I has not sailed for nearly a year after it was damaged after colliding with a lock when under charter by Haimark Line.
