Vietnam Airlines auctioning off jets
Cash-strapped Vietnam Airlines plans to auction off 11 Airbus A321 aircraft to raise funds. Interested buyers are asked to submit a bid by 29 June. All the planes were made between 2004 and 2008.
New Vietnam carrier Bamboo Airways is interested in buying some of them, its CEO, Dang Tat Thang said.
Vietnam Airlines, which is majority state owned,recently posted a 2021 Q1 loss of US$215 million.
