Virgin America tickets go on sale

Sunday, 20 Jul, 2007 0

US domestic start-up Virgin America has started selling tickets for its first services which are due to take off next month.

The first route will be between its San Francisco base and New York on August 8 with prices starting at $139 one-way.

Los Angeles will be served from the same day with a starting fare of $44 single from San Francisco, followed by an LA-New York service on August 29.

Washington Dulles will be served from San Francisco from September 26, with Las Vegas added in October as well as LA-Washington.

The newcomer reportedly was hit by a hacker attack on its website as tickets went on sale yesterday, the LA Times reported.
