Virgin Atlantic, LATAM seek US nod for codeshare

Thursday, 24 Oct, 2022 0

Virgin Atlantic and LATAM Airlines Group have sought US approval to launch their codeshare agreement.

They want US Department of Transportation (DOT) authorisation for codesharing from the UK to Chile, Peru, and Colombia via the United States.

Virgin has an existing codeshare pact with LATAM Brasil.

Virgin Atlantic will place the LA code on flights to and from the US and the VS code will go on LATAM flights to Chile, Peru and Colombia.

It means the US will only be a transit point connecting the two airlines ‘services.

Delta Air Lines has significant investments in both carriers.
