Virgin flight forced to turn back

Tuesday, 12 August 20143 min read

A Virgin Atlantic plane from Hong Kong was forced to turn back 90 minutes after take-off after a passenger came disruptive.

Reports describe the passenger as ‘out of control’ on the Heathrow-bound flight VS201.

The plane had been in the air for just over an hour-and-a-half when the passenger ‘llost control and didn’t follow instructions from staff’, according to The Daily Mail.

A Virgin spokesman said: "Virgin Atlantic can confirm that due to a disruptive passenger flight VS201 to London Heathrow returned to Hong Kong and was met by authorities on arrival.

"Virgin Atlantic does not tolerate disruptive behaviour by passengers on-board and the safety and welfare of our passengers and crew is the airline’s top priority."
