Walt Disney World hotels go dog-friendly
A quartet of Walt Disney World hotels are going to the dogs.
Four Disney hotels have rolled out the red carpet for guests’ four legged friends – Disney’s Yacht Club, Disney’s Port Orleans, Disney’s Art of Animation and the cabins of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
The pet-friendly trial will allow guests to bring dogs for an additional charge.
Disney’s Yacht Club charges $75 extra per night while at the other properties it is $50.
Dogs must be on a leash while in resort public areas and be properly vaccinated.
Each of the hotels has outdoor exercise areas for dogs.
On check-in, guests will be given a Pluto’s Welcome Kit which includes a dog mat, bowls, a pet ID tag, plastic disposable bags, puppy pads and dog-walking maps.
Disney says up to two dogs are allowed per guestroom.
Disney World already has the Best Friends Pet Care doggy day care center for cat and dog boarding while families are out at the parks.
