So, what’s the SuperStar Virgo like, well The Mole can tell you because when the Virgo was in Singapore recently, I went for wander around and was very impressed.

Firstly the SuperStar Virgo is a relatively new ship, built in 1999, [compared to 1991 for the Pacific Dawn, which was also previously the Regal Princess] specifically for Star and the traditionally Asian, but she has been adpated to suit Western tastes, with Braydon Holland of Star Cruises in Australia telling me that between 200 and 300 Aussies cruise of SuperStar Virgo every week, which is some testament to this vessel and Star Cruises.

Star says that feasting is an everyday affair on the Virgo, with chefs onboard preparing an eclectic range of high quality dishes across dining outlets, [one is pictured below] including Japanese specialities at The Samurai or exotic Indian temptations at The Taj!

Virgo’s extensive dining locations include: –

** Samurai

** Mediterranean Buffet and Terrace

** Blue Lagoon

** Palazzo (Italian)

** Taj Mahal

** The Pavilion Room (Chinese)

** Bella Vista (International)

** Noble House (Chinese)

[Below some members of the very friendly crew – the guys on the right is from Nepal!]

After an exhausting day lying by the pool, the Virgo offers some excellent entertianment across the vessel, including, dancing the night away at the Celebrity or a game or two at any of the game rooms if you prefer a quiet evening.  Venues include: –

** The Picture House (Cinema)

With all that food and partying a little bit if exercise might be a good thing and Virgo has a comprehensive range of facilities to make working a pleasure……….yeah right………and after sweating it out at the gym, you can recover at the Apollo Spa and Fitness Centre.

Choose to rejuvenate your way from any of the exotic spa treatments or these seats are saved for you!
