Wayward cruise ship forces cancellation of SpaceX launch
A straying cruise ship apparently caused a last-minute cancellation of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch at Cape Canaveral in Florida. A cruises ship breached the designated exclusion zone required during launches.
The entered the flight path of the SpaceX launch, and despite assistance from the Coast Guard, the ship was still in the no-go zone when SpaceX’s launch window closed. The lift-off of the Falcon 9 once again had to be pushed back for a fourth time. The other delays were weather-related.
