Singapore Airlines Holidays, which will be managed by Wendy Wu Tours from April 1, has appointed James Hewlett as commercial manager of its new division.

Hewlett said: "We’ve greatly increased the product range. Agents can book with us by phone and we have extended our hours to include Saturday opening so that we’re here when our agents need us."

Hewlett spent more than 10 years in the UK travel industry as head of marketing at escorted tour operator Titan Travel.

He was also head of marketing at Hurtigruten where he led the 2008 re-brand from Norwegian Coastal Voyage.
