The best day to get deals? Easy. Tuesday.
So proclaims the marketing department of CheapTickets.com, owned by Travelport.
They are calling it the “Day of Deals.â€
The site says Tuesday visitors will find a “refreshed resource of valuable information at their fingertips.†Two of CheapTickets’ key deal-focused tabs — Cheap of the Week and Last Minute Travel — have been reinvented to help consumers find the best deals available, according to the company.
In addition, a new online video component has been integrated, offering visitors tips for both finding the best deals on CheapTickets and planning the best trip on a budget.
Subscribers too many big travel Web site deal newsletters often receive them on Wednesday.
“But are all of these much-hyped vacation specials true ‘deals,’ or are they the cream of the sponsored-content crop? Unlike on pure journalism websites, what’s not always 100% transparent on the sites mentioned is which are paid placements and which are genuine, unbiased editors picks?†says the LA Times.
