Youth travel agency Kilroy opens first UK store

Youth travel agency KILROY has officially launched in the UK with its first travel agency store opening.
The Bristol store at 43 Queens Road in Clifton, kicked off with travel talks, prize giveaways and entertainment.
Established in Denmark in 1991, KILROY is the largest youth travel agency in the Nordic region.
Niclas Lundquist, UK Commercial Director said: “Bristol was the top choice for KILROY’s first UK store opening thanks to its young student population and proximity to universities.”
“The property couldn’t be more fitting for a student and youth travel brand, having previously housed STA Travel.”
KILROY gave away five trips every hour, including a round-the-world adventure visiting Thailand, Singapore, Australia and the US.
KILROY’s local team presented talks on Thailand, Peru, surfing in Costa Rica and working holidays in Australia.
The Bristol store has a team of four youth travel advisors to help plan and design trips for students and young travelers.
It expects to expand staff numbers over the coming months.
“Our expansion into the UK is a long-term investment for KILROY. We are continuously evaluating new opportunities beyond Bristol,” Lundquist added.
During the opening day there was also food and drinks, a DJ set, free travel-themed tattoos, and a live illustration by local artist Ruby Taylor.
