10 BA executives named in collusion case
Four current British Airways employees are among those named by the US Department of Justice in connection with price fixing of fuel surcharges.
They are Gareth Kirkwood, director of operations, Ian Barrigan, business development manager, Andrew Crawley, head of ticket sales UK and Ireland, and Anthony Nothman, international customer services manager.
Another six former BA employees were also named: Alan Burnett, head of UK and Ireland sales, Andreas Boppart, regional account manager for Middle East and Africa cargo, Robert Kujala, senior vice-president of Americas cargo, and Keith Packer, manager of UK and Ireland corporate cargo sales, alongside Martin George and Iain Burns who have already been identified.
According to reports in the Telegraph, all those named deny any wrong-doing. It also pointed out that the decision to name them does not mean they are guilty or suggest they have either been charged or faced charges.
Meanwhile, reports in the Independent on Sunday claim that Ikea, Volvo and TNT are among corporate customers of BA and Virgin that are seeking compensation through the class action suit being filed by Washington-based law firm Cohen Milstein Hausfeld & Toll.
