Air India offers free fog delay ticket changes
Air India has rolled out a customer initiate to aid travellers during the regular instances of dense fog around the Indian capital.
It allows passengers flying to and from Delhi to reschedule or cancel their bookings without any fees.
The FogCare programme was first introduced last winter.
It has been resumed with flight operations impacted at fogbound Delhi over the past few days.
Yesterday, around 100 flights were delayed while some inbound services were diverted.
“The FogCare initiative is a sincere effort to minimise inconvenience to guests whose flights are likely to get affected by fog,” said Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer.
“It will also help maintain network schedule integrity.”
During heavy fog periods, passengers booked on flights will receive regular updates about possible delays and given options for rescheduling or cancelling their trip.
