The planned operational merger between Tata owned airlines Air India and Vistara will be finalised by mid-2025, Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan says.
All remaining regulatory approvals will be secured by the second quarter of 2024 with full integration the following year.
It will then become a single operating entity and brand.
Kannan says the National Company Law Tribunal will have a second hearing for the merger in February.
Then it awaits clearance from Ministry of Civil Aviation and air regulator DGCA.
“On the operational side, we have certain regulatory requirements and approvals that need to come in,” Kannan said.
“Once the operational process of integration starts, it will be that of liaising with various authorities, and also looking at international.”
Kannan is also the Chief Integration Officer tasked with overseeing all asoects of the merger.
