Airline executives on the move
Air Seychelles has appointed former Etihad Airways regional general manager Asia Pacific South and Australasia, Cramer Ball, as its CEO.
Ball has been seconded to the Seychelles flag carrier as part of its restructuring, which will be implemented under a management deal with Etihad Airways, a 40 percent stakeholder in Air Seychelles.
Etihad has appointed Lindsay White to take over from Ball as regional general manager Asia Pacific South and Australasia.
White was previously Etihad Airways’ general manager Australia and New Zealand.
Another executive on the move is Derek Morris who, after 27 years with Cathay Pacific, the past 15 years as its sales and marketing chief in Sydney, joins China Southern Airlines this week as regional sales and marketing department in its Sydney headquarters.
China Southern regional manager Australia/New Zealand Henry He said Morris would help to further consolidate China Southern’s expansion into the region and introduce the Canton Route to the UK and Europe via Guangzhou.
“We view the Canton Route as the new Kangaroo Route, offering similar flying times and stopover options in Guangzhou or Old Canton, instead of Singapore or Bangkok,” said He.
