A connection to Brazil via Madrid is being re-established from Gatwick.
Spanish carrier Air Europa is to re-introduce three flights a week to Salvador de Bahia via the Spanish capital from November 3.
A Boeing 767 will operate the route, offering a two class configuration of economy and business class seats.
Prices from London to Salvador de Bahia start at £607 return including taxes.
Frequency between Madrid and Buenos Aires will go up to a daily service with connections to Gatwick.
Fares from London via Madrid start at £530 return including taxes.
The airline is also launching three daily flights to Lisbon via Madrid.
Air Europa will also become the only carrier to run a non-stop service between the Canary Islands and the US with a weekly transatlantic flight between Tenerife North and Miami.
The airline, which began offering twice-daily flights from Gatwick in the spring, offers the trade five per cent commission on published rates.
BA is withdrawing Gatwick-Madrid flights this winter, enabling Air Europa to claim it will be the only ‘trade-friendly’ airline on the route.
Air Europa provides connections to destinations in South America and the Caribbean including Havana, Buenos Aires, Salvador de Bahia, Caracas, Cancun, plus Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
UK general manager Colin Stewart said: “Following the success of the new London Gatwick to Madrid route, Air Europa is fast becoming known as a South American specialist airline.”
