Allegiant adding new route to Key West
Budget carrier Allegiant Air is launching a new route to Key West from Pittsburgh International Airport.
Starting on 3 June, it will fly twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays using Airbus A319 aircraft.
The airline sees a strong seasonal market for leisure travel to the Keys, with its Covid-safe outdoor lifestyle gaining appeal.
"Key West offers so many outdoor recreation activities for Pittsburgh residents to enjoy and Floridians who are looking for a change of scenery will find some incredible attractions in Pittsburgh," said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Senior Vice President of Revenue.
"We’re excited to connect these two great cities with affordable, nonstop service. Key West is one of the most scenic, inviting outdoor destinations in Florida."
Allegiant is also adding service to Key West from Cincinnati and Nashville this summer.
