Aman will open first resort in Mexico
Luxury resort operator Aman is headed for Mexico.
Aman will debut the brand in the country with Amanvari on the East Cape of the Baja Peninsula.
It is scheduled to open in 2020 with a hotel and private residences.
The resort is being developed by Los Angeles-based real estate firm Irongate and set within the Costa Palmas private beachfront resort community with resort comprising 20 hotel pavilions, and some will feature a cantilevered pool.
“Our number one priority is embracing our pathfinder spirit, and with it, introducing our guests to new destinations and experiences. In the context of Amanvari, the raw landscape on the East Cape of the Baja Peninsula, is a fitting location for our first destination in Mexico,” said Aman CEO Vladislav Doronin.
Aside from Amanvari, the Costa Palmas development includes a Robert Trent Jones II designed golf course, organic farms, a private members-only beach and yacht club and Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas.
It is located about 45 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport.
“The unique combination of desert, mountains and palm oasis provides us with an opportunity to create an architectural masterpiece at the edge of the Sea of Cortes. We are thrilled to have Aman join the collection of international brands at Costa Palmas,” said Jason Grosfeld, chairman and CEO of Irongate.
