Amenities at luxury Cabo resort seem endless

Capella Pedregal is just minutes from bustling downtown Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, “yet seemingly a world away thanks to its secluded location,” the resort says.

The beach resort is reached via the only privately owned tunnel in Mexico, Dos Mares. Carved through the heart of the mountain, the tunnel is an engineering feat that separates the town of Cabo from the Pacific Ocean.

“Capella Pedregal has received the highest customer satisfaction score for food of all the West Paces properties in the world,” according to the resort.

The luxury amenities just keep coming. For example

—Capella has private plunge pools with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean from every room. 

—It has the highest number of swimming pools in one resort (possibly in the world) – 138 in total.

—An in-house astronomer is available for guests to discuss the night sky.

—It is said to be the only spa in Mexico to offer Signature “moon” treatments designed to reflect the various energies of the lunar cycle.

—The only spa in Mexico which offers ancient, traditional healing with a Curandera  —  a Mexican folk healer who uses home grown herbs to support emotional healing.

—Training (for free) is offered with an A-list fitness trainer who has worked with Hollywood stars.

—Celebrity salon stylist Julien Farel is on hand (clients include Kate Moss and Richard Gere).

—Whale watching is easily visable as guests’ work out in the gym.

—Due to the spa being designed on and around a pool, guests can swim to their treatment rooms.

—The resort offers Private Tequila Tasting lessons with a “tequila master.”

—There is a traditional Mexican kitchen, ‘Su Cocina’ where private cooking classes are offered.

—Organic farm tours are available for guests to select the ingredients for their meal that evening.

—A special food and wine journal is available for every guest to record their food experiences and personal favourite recipes and dishes.

—Guests’ have the chance to spot humpback whales from every hotel room – binoculars are provided in every room.

The resort offers three key accommodation options that include a 52-room hotel, 11 residences and three suites.

Amenities include private plunge pools, oceanfront views, fire pits and a central computer system with controls for all the room’s various functions.  Other amenities include 24-hour in-room service, a personal assistant for all guests and driving services via the resort valet.

Special summer prices can be as low as $375 but are more likely upwards of $500 a night. Suites start at $1100.

Cabo San Lucas is known as one of the world’s most spectacular and sought-after resort destinations. It’s natural attributes include sandy beaches and rugged desert mountains. Sport fishing, golf and eco-sports are plentiful.

It also has an array of luxury accommodations, spas and restaurants that have given it international notoriety. Hollywood celebrities are common.
