Another ski opertor collapses as resorts look set to delay opening
Ski chalet specialist Ski Amis has ceased trading and all future bookings have been cancelled.
Customers who booked direct are being advised to claim refunds from their credit or debit cards or via ABTOT, which will have a link on its website from 7 December.
Customers who booked via an agent are being told to contact them for information.
Ski Amis sold catered and self-catered chalet holidays in a small number of French resorts.
In a message on its website it thanked its customers for their support and apologised but said it had ‘no other alternative’ but to cease trading.
Last winter’s ski season was cut short after coronavirus started to spread across Europe and this season’s start is likely to be delayed at least until January. Val d’Isere, one of the most popular French ski resorts, has already announced it will refund lift passes for people who have booked stays before 15 January.
Ski Amis’ collapse follows that of another ski chalet specialist, VIP Ski, last month.
