ATPI buys marine specialist
ATPI Group has purchased London-based business travel agent Griffin Global which specialises in marine travel.
The deal, reported to be worth £120 million, is the second purchase by ATPI this year after it acquired Australian travel management company Voyager Travel in January.
Previously owned by private equity firm Inflexion, Griffin was formed in Athens in 1977 and operates 33 offices in 22 countries, including nine joint venture partnerships.
"This deal is a major step forward in our plan to increase our global operation, and enhances the unrivalled service that clients of the business already enjoy," said ATPI chief executive Graham Ramsey.
"The clients of Griffin will benefit from ATPI’s bespoke technology, purchasing power and seamless service around the world."
