ausindia holidays Promises “An India Never Experienced Before”
With several NSW Members of Parliament and a Bollywood celebrity in attendance and following the lighting of a traditional brass lamp to mark an auspicious beginning a new tour wholesale operation dedicated exclusively to India was launched mid this week in Sydney.
Looking like distinguished Bollywood personalities, Chakrapani Bhuravarjhula, Head Operations, (left) and Sunil Sharma, Product Manager, ausindia holidays.
ausindia holidays is the new tour arm of Des Space Travel, a well known Sydney retail agency that has been selling travel to India for more than 20 years.
The event, co hosted by a number of sponsors including India Tourism, Taj Hotels and Kingfisher Airlines, drew a large gathering to the ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.
Chakrapani Bhuravarjhula, Head Operations and Sunil Sharma, Product Manager, ausindia holidays, said that the intent of the new company which has offices in Sydney and New Delhi was to show “the new face of India” through innovative products that are competitively priced.
One and two week itineraries as well as number of special interest tours for those interested in textiles, architecture, wildlife and royal India are included in the 32 page brochure which was also released during the professionally organised evening function.
As well, there are packages for the growing youth and adventure, pilgrimage tourism and honeymoon markets. For example, ausindia has an exclusive 7 night honeymoon package on a houseboat in the backwaters of Kerala priced from $1799 per person land only.
ausindia has also organised a number of group departures with a difference: all dinners included, limited numbers, guaranteed departures, fully escorted and as a special bonus visits to local families to really learn about the way of life in India.
For instance, a 15 day escorted tour of Palaces and Forts has guaranteed departures on November 17 and February 16, 2008. Priced from $4749, the tour includes Delhi, Mandawa, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jaipur and Agra.
Head of Operations, Chakrapani Bhuravarhula said that the comprehensive website www.ausindiaholidays.com would assist agents in selling more holidays to India.
He also stressed that tailor made itineraries could be easily devised. “We can even charter aircraft up to Boeings as well as trains and river cruises to use in creating a highly personalised holiday of India,” said Bhuravarhula.
