Bay Area Travel changes GDS provider
Bay Area Travel Inc. moved from using an Amadeus GDS to a GDS system by Galileo.
Bay Area is one of the largest independently owned and operated travel company in the Central West Florida area. It has $85 million in annual sales.
Bay Area Travel is working with Galileo to develop a fully integrated technology solution and leveraging its partnership with Galileo and other affiliates of Cendant Corp., the company announced.
New tools include Optimal Shopping SM, which enables agents to quickly find a great depth of itineraries and low-fare pricing options for customers travelling wholly on North American intineraries.
Bay Area Travel will also utilize Galileo NeatAgent, a dynamic packaging tool with unresstricted makeup capability on highly discounted opaque type inventory.
Bay Area says it can offer savings of up to 75% compared with published standard rates.
