Best Western acquires WorldHotels
Best Western Hotels & Resorts has acquired global hotel collection brand WorldHotels.
Arizona based Best Western announced it completed the acquisition of WorldHotels last week, which sees 300 hotels and resorts added to its portfolio.
It significantly boosts Best Western’s presence in the upper upscale and luxury segments, the company says.
"There is tremendous synergy between Best Western and WorldHotels. By joining forces in this new partnership, we will create competitive advantages for both companies," said David Kong, president and CEO of Best Western Hotels & Resorts.
The WorldHotels collection spans the globe and is classified in three tiers – WorldHotels Luxury, WorldHotels Elite and WorldHotels Distinctive.
"In the coming months, our focus will be to unlock WorldHotels’ potential by improving revenue delivery to its hotels while protecting its independent identity," Kong added.
It becomes beat Western’s 13th brand.
Geoff Andrew, CEO, WorldHotels said: "As we join forces, the combined power of our brands sets the stage for a bright future for both Best Western and WorldHotels.
