Best Western UK chief resigns
Richard Lewis, CEO of Interchange and Consort Hotels, has resigned and will leave the business on March 31.
His departure was announced by the Board of the group, which operates the Best Western brand in the UK.
Rob Payne, chief commercial officer, takes the role of interim CEO with immediate effect, while the search for a replacement gets under way.
The Board of Interchange and Consort Hotels said it ‘has officially placed on record their appreciation and thanks to Richard for all his work and achievements for the brand during his tenure’.
“Over the past three years, Richard has enhanced the quality standards throughout every facet of the organisation. In doing so he has developed and strengthened the profile, image and reputation of the Beacon and Best Western brands in Great Britain.
“The Directors of the Board of Interchange and Consort Hotels wish Richard well for the future.”
