Brexit confusion among British holidaymakers
Less than one in five (19%) Brits are feeling well-informed about the implications of leaving the EU on their holidays, according to ABTA research.
Its Holiday Habits Report 2017 found 63% still plan to travel to Europe in the next 12 months but that many are confused by how Brexit will impact their plans.
Chief executive Mark Tanzer said: "Our research suggests that, although there is confusion around the impact of Brexit on travel, most people still intend to travel to Europe in the 12 months ahead, so it is clear the British love affair with holidaying in Europe continues."
ABTA head director of brand and business development Victoria Bacon said the results show the government needs to make sure Brexit does not hinder people’s ability to travel as they do today.
